FALLING STAR

You know it's pretty funny how men are when it comes to a wedding proposal. Some do the whole nine yards when proposing. Some are well..cute but could've done better. While others are just...uhmm...well... I'll let you think of that last one. This story is actually about me and how my fiancee proposed to me.
See, I've been in a long term relationship with my fiancee for about 5 years. But I still remember exactly a month ago when he proposed to me. Honestly, I didn't see it coming, I mean I'm not saying that he's not a married type kind of guy but I wasn't expecting something so .... ahhhh! I guess words aren't enough to describe it.  I don't even know who gave him the idea of that type of wedding proposal.
So anyhow, here's the story. It was the month of our fifth year anniversary, usually we would plan an intimate dinner on a very sophisticated restaurant, but for some strange reason this year was a little different. Instead he said he wanted to plan it. A few days before our anniversary, he told me that he had bought us a plane ticket to fly to Boracay. At first I was alittle sceptical of going because you know, proriorities comes first. But surprisingly enough, he said that he had already made an arrangement with my boss and that he also already made a reservation on the hotel in which we will be staying. So of course, A for effort I said I just agreed with the vacation.
I still remember it was on a Friday when we flew to Boracay and we arrived about around noon. So when we got their we then went ahead and went straight to our hotel and then rested for a little bit. I guess I was a little too tired, didn't even realized that I fell asleep. I was just a kind of shock when he tried waking me up around 5 pm to tell me that I need to start getting ready.
"Babes, wake up! You need to get ready, we'll be late for dinner!" he said softly as he tries to wake me up.
"Oh! What? What dinner? When? What time?"I asked.
"Dinner is at 6 pm. You don't have to wear anything fancy, just wear something comfy!"he explained.
"Why? Where are we going?"I asked him again.
He didn't even answer me instead he just gave me a sweet smile and kissed my forhead. So I guess, it was time for me to start getting ready. An hour later after I got ready for the dinner, he took me to this isolated spot somewhere along the side of the beach. I was a little surprise to see  a table set up for two people. At first I just gave him the weird look of course I thought it was a little funny but of course sweet of him to do that. Then he was being such a gentleman to pull the chair for me and surprised to see a boquet of White Tulips laying on the chair. So we then started eating and as we eat, I started hearing a soft sound of a violin, as if someone was playing it not to far away. I looked at him and I said....
"Is there something I need to know? I mean what's going on?"
Again, he didn't bother answering my question instead he just smiled at me and said...
"Happy 5th Year Anniversary Babes! I Love You!!!" he said so sweetly.
"I Love You too babes! And Happy Anniversary to us!" I said while I smile as him.
Then he took my hand and he said that he wanted to go for a walk so we did. As we were walking along side of the beach, he then stopped and looked up in the sky and said...
"You know, 5 years ago when I was standing at this very spot when I saw a falling star? Then I slowly closed my eyes and made a wish." he explained.
"Really? What was your wish? Can you tell me?"
"My wish? I wished that after  i opened my eyes I wish to meet the girl that I would spend the rest of my life with. Then sure enough, after I made that wish, I opened my eyes and there you were! "
"Oh my! That was the night we met!...."but before I even kept going on my words to say... I found him kneeling on his one knee while holding my hands.
"Babes, You know how much I love you, and I thank God everyday for giving me the best girlfriend ever. Now it will be even better if you can make the wish I made 5 years ago come true. Lizzette, Will You Marry Me?"
Words cannot even explain how I was feeling at that time. I didn't even realized that I was already crying, well it's tears of joy! I hugged him so tight and kissed him, and of course I said Yes! I was just a little surprised to hear applause for a number of people around us. I looked and I saw our immediate family. That night made it even more extra special for me to see both of our families together.
