CHAPTER 5
"Hello Devon?"-Sam. "Oh Sam kung tumawag ka para mangasar lang ulit, I'm telling you now, you're really wasting your time."-Devon. And when she was about to hang up the phone again. "Wait! I didn't call you to get you mad. I just wanted to invite you on a dinner."-Sam. "Wow! Ano yan? Your way of peace offering?"-Devon. "Eh sabihin mo na lang kasi kung ayaw mo! I'm not forcing you to go. Peace offering? Yes! Look! I think we both got into the wrong foot. And I just wanted to say sorry. I think I was a bit harsh on you. So what do you say dinner? Come on!"-Sam. "Ok fine! May magagawa pa ba ako? Pero please lang ha, 'wag sa masyadong maraming tao. Baka kasi mamaya dyan pagkaguluhan ako eh at mapagkamalan akong girlfriend mo!"-Devon. "Well, it's a date then. I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7 pm. Bye!"-Sam. "Teka wait..(but Sam already hanged up the phone)Hello! Hello!"-Devon.
Devon didn't know what to do, for her it was too good to be true. "Besssssiiieeeee!!!!! Guess who invited me on a dinner tomorrow?"-Devon. "Eh sa tili mong yan tinatanong pa ba? Kung makasigaw ka parang wala ng bukas! Buti hindi nagagalit mga kapitbahay nyo sa iyo?"-Ann. "kahit kailan ka talaga eh noh! Palaging panira ng moment. Sige na nga tumawag lang ako para sabihin sayo ang good news ko.Bye na! I'll call you nalang tomorrow."-Devon.
THE NEXT DAY...
"Ma! aalis po ako later ha. Ininvite po kasi ni Sam sa dinner. Baka po medyo late po akong makauwi."-Devon. "Sam? Sino si Sam? Yun ba yung gwapong pumunta dito? Anak! nililigawan ka na ba nun? "-Devon's mom. "Ma! Ano ba kayo, ininvite lang ako nung tao sa dinner nanliligaw na agad. Ayokong magka boyfriend ng nasa showbiz!! Chossss!!!!"-Devon. "Pero iha! Magiingat ka ha! At dyan sa mundong papasukin mo naku! Madaming mangiintriga sa inyo kung sakaling makita kayong dalawa na magkasam. Ihanda mo ang sarili sa kung ano man ang mangyayari. Hindi sya private person anak. Lahat ng ginagawalan nya maraming nagmamanman at sumusunod."-Devon's mom. "Opo naman Ma! Of course! Just this once pabayaan nyo muna ako na to live on my fairy tale world."-Devon. "Oh sya sige anong oras na ba at magayus ka na baka biglang dumating dito yun."-Devon's mom.
Around 6:45 when Sam arrived at Devon's house to pick her up. LIttle that he knows, one of the papparrazzi was following him all along to Devon's house. The man took lots of pictures of Sam and Devon. He even peaked on Devon's living room window to take pictures of Sam watching Devon walk down the stairs, while walking out to go to the car, opening the door for her and helping her get in the car. The papparrazzi even followed the two on their way to the restaurant. Sam noticed the car behind him that it's been following him since he picked her up from her house.
"Shit!!!"-Sam. "Bakit? What's wrong?"-Devon. "We've got company! Someone's been following me since earlier. I've seen this car parked outside your house earlier and now this guy's been following me since we left."-Sam. Devon then got worried and Sam knew that she doesn't like the idea of them being followed around. He then decided to drive around to try and lose the guy on the road and he succeeded! After a 30 minutes of driving around, he then took her to this restaurant that he rented so there wouldn't be anyone else but them. As they enter the restaurant She noticed that nobody was in their except for them.
"Bakit walang tao? Masarap ba dito? Eh mukha namang walang gustong kumain dito oh!"-As she jokingly told him. "Talagang wala kang makikitang tao dito, I know the owner so I told him I'd pay him for a day worth of his earnings sa restaurant, isara lang nya for me ng one day." -Sam. "Weh?Anlakas mo naman sa owner!"-Devon. "My family and I have been coming here for a long time, since bata pa ako kaya this place is very special to me and trust me masarap ang foods dito."-Sam. "Naks naman! Ang special ko naman! Memorable pala itong place sayo tapos dito mo ako dinala."-Devon. They then decided to finally sit on their table and they talked for hours not noticing the time that it was already late.
"Oh crap!!"-Devon. "What? what's wrong?"-Sam. "Late napala it's already almost 11 pm. napasarap ang kwentuhan natin. Hindi ko namalayan ang time. Baka kasi hinahanap na ako ni Mama eh."-Devon. "Ok! Are you ready na ba? I'll take you home na."-Sam. He then drove her home and when they got to her house. "Salamat for the invite ha! I really had fun. Thank you again!"-Devon. "No! I should be saying thank you! Hindi ko kasi alam na tatanggapin mo yung dinner offer ko sayo. Medyo suplada kasi ang dating mo eh. Kaya nagalangan ako. Sige na late na pasok ka na sa loob I'll wait for you to get inside."-Sam. He then gave her a hug and A soft kiss on the cheeks. What he didn't know the same man that was followed him around came back to Devon's house to wait for them. And he took pictures of what just happened.
