CHAPTER 15
BACK IN MANILA
"Sam, bakit parang napapansin ko problemado ka lately?What's bothering you?"-Sam's manager. "Wala naman po, pagod lang siguro kaya ganito."-Sam. "Well, today is your lucky day, pinablock ko na ang schedule mo for one week. You can go anywhere you want. Stay home and rest, or vacation with friends. Ikaw ang bahala basta wala kang masisilayan na trabaho for one week and those days are all yours.Basta don't do anything you'll regret. And Keep yourself safe and be careful kung saan man ang punta mo."-Sam's manager. "Really? Salamat naman po, siguro ka kailangan ko lang magbakasyon."-Sam. "Saan ba balak mong puntahan? HIndi ba't sabi mo nagbakasyon din si Devon? Why don't you follow her?"-Sam's manager. "Hindi ko po alam kung saan eh, and I think she's with her family naman. Siguro po Boracay nalang pupuntahan ko. I'll just bring some friends with me."-Sam. "Ganun ba? Well have fun!Sige let's go na at late na din."Sam's manager.
Sam told his parents that he's going to Boracay with friends but what they didn't know is that he's just going alone. As much as he wanted to bring friends with him, he decided not to since this is the best time he can be alone and think things thru. Saturday morning when he left for Boracay, for him driving alone was never a good idea. He couldn't help himself but think of Devon. "Ano kaya ginagawa nya ngayon? Kumain na kaya sya? Sana naman hindi nya pinapabayaan ang sarili nya. Devon, how I miss you so dearly. How I wish nandito ka sa tabi ko, sana ikaw ang kasama ko sa bakasyon na ito. It would've been more fun if I share this one week with you alone."-Sam. What he didn't know is that Devon and Ann are also staying at the same resort as where he will be staying at.
Upon arriving at his hotel,he decided to go to the beach to get some fresh air. Ann on the other hand was also outside talking to their new found friends when she noticed a very familiar face. "Oh Shit!!! Is that who I think it is? Oh my goodness!!! It is! Shit shit shit!"-Ann. "Hey are you ok?"-Arron. "Yup I'm ok. Do me a favor please, you see that guy walking alone by himself wearing purple boardshorts and a plain white shirt?Can you tell me which direction he's going?"-Ann. "Oh you mean, Sam Concepcion? Isn't that him? well he's going this way, he's approaching the bar."-Arron. "Shit! Are you serious? Oh my! What am I going to do? Please help me hide."-Ann. "Why? He's right behind you already!"-Arron. As Sam tries to order his drink, he right away noticed Ann standing next to him. "Ann? Is that you?What are you doing here?Who are you with? Is Devon with you?"-Sam. "Oh hey! What are the odds huh! Yeah, Devon's with me. Since when did you get here? Are you by yourself? Hindi ka ba busy sa work?Buti pinayagan kang magbakasyon?"-Ann. "Really? Devon's here?But, where is she? Bakit ikaw lang?Asan sya?"-Sam. "Ah si bessie, dyan lang yan sa tabi-tabi..."-Ann. And before she continued Arron cut her off. "Ah si Devon? Nandun sya brawh kasama ni Quen. Sinamahan ni Quen sa paglalakad?"-Arron. "Quen? Who's Quen? And who are you?Do you know Ann and Devon?"-Sam. "Oh yah, by the way I'm Arron, nice to meet you. Kaibigan ako ni Quen, nakilala namin sila Ann and Devon dito. Nandyan lang yung dalawang yun panigurado nagliliwaliw."-Arron. Sam suddenly became so angry that he didn't even want to wait for his drink that he ordered. All he can think of is to find Devon and talk to her. His blood reached its boiling point in not even a minute, he was furious to find her. And when finally he saw Devon walking alone with Quen along the shore, laughing and seems like she was having so much fun with him. When suddenly..."Devon, isn't that your boyfriend?"-Quen. "Wag kang magbibiro nang ganyan ha, hindi nakakatawa yan."-Devon. "I mean it! Isn't that him, looking at you?"-Quen. Devon looked at the direction in which Quen was pointing at. Sam quickly approached Quen and punch him. "Hoy! Alam mo bang may boyfriend itong babaeng nilalandi mo?"-Sam. "Sam!! What are you doing here?"-Devon. "Ako dapat ang magtanong sayo nyan Devon, what are you doing here with him? Sandali lang tayong nagkahiwalay may pinalit ka na agad sa akin?"-Sam. Devon couldn't contain her anger on how Sam was acting so she slapped him in the face. "Ganyan na ba kababa ang tingin mo sa akin?Nagtanung ka ba kung sino itong kasama ko?At ano ba ginagawa mo dito?At eto bang si Quen ang tinutukoy mong pinalit ko sayo?Sam, hindi ako ganong klaseng babae,at alam mo bang yang lalaking yan ang nagsabi pa sa akin na intindihin kita, tapos ganyan pala ang iaasal mo?Paano kita iintindihin?"-Devon. Devon walked away and Quen didn't want things to make it worst so he decided to just leave the two alone.
While Sam on the other hand tried to follow Devon. "Devon!! Wait!"-Sam. He finally reached her and grabbed her arms. "Look I'm sorry for accusing you ok. Hindi ko sinasadya, I'm here because my manager gave me a week off and I didn't know where else to go. Hindi ko naman alam na nandito ka din. I'm really sorry! I really miss you Devon! Please let me prove you I'm worthy of your love."-Sam. As he broke down in tears in front of her. "Sorry? That's not enough Sam, sa inasal mo kanina hindi sapat ang sorry mo. Kung gusto mong patawarin kita, prove me that you deserve it."-Devon. She left and let him by himself.
