CHAPTER 17
After a week, since Sam has to go back home, Devon decided to tag along with him on his drive back, while Ann decided to stay behind. "Sige bessie mauna ka nang umuwi, ok lang ako dito I'm still enjoying my vacation. And ayaw ko namang makaistorbo sa inyo sa kotse noh. Ano ako third wheel?"-Ann. "Loka ka! Pero sure ka ha? Thank you bessie ha for going with me. I really really appreciate it. Hayaan mo babalitaan na lang kita ok."-Devon. "Sige na bessie, baka hinihintay kana ni prince charming mo sa ibaba."-Ann. Then Devon and Sam left Boracay.
Going back to manila together with the one he loves the most with him is the best part of his vacation. He's got so many things in his mind that he wanted to do upon arriving manila. As soon as they arrived back, he called his manager to let him know that he's back. And luckily he called him..."Sam, buti naman at nakabalik ka na pala. ASAP wanted to do a birthday celebration for you , since your birthday is coming up. I believe they're thinking of a dance number with you and Devon since she's also a good dancer.So what do you say?"-Sam's manager. "Oh yah! sure po, I'll let her know."-Sam. What Sam dind't know that his manager had already called Devon but the production number that he tought that they will be performing is different from the actual plan. Devon will surpise him,she will be singing the song that they first sang together at his concert three years ago.
Then Finally Sunday, the day he will be celebrating his birthday on ASAP Rocks. While he's inside his dressing room, he told his manager something..."Pwede po kayang after ng production number namin ni Devon, if I can have at least a few minutes of airing time? May gusto lang po sana akong sabihin sa kanya on air. Pwede po bang paki sabi sa floor director? Kahit sandali lang po talaga."-Sam. "Ano ba yung sasabihin mo?Why don't you tell her na lang after?Pero sige I'll let them know."-Sam's manager. "Umm, mamaya nyo nalang po malalaman."-Sam. Then a few minutes later Sam was already given the cue that is production number with Devon will start in a few minutes. He then went to her dressing room."Ano ready ka na?"-Sam. "Yup very much ready"-Devon. Upon getting on stage he was a little bit confused because the floor director handed him a microphone. "Aren't we dancing?bakit may microphone tayo?"-Sam. Then the music started playing "Surprise Sam you won't be dancing with me, you'll be singing a song with me."-Devon. Sam was so surprise and he started getting teary eyed. After they sang Toni Gonzaga and Billy Crawford approached them to be interviewed. "Ok Happy Birthday Sam Concepcion. I know you wanted to say your thank yous but before that you requested to have a few minutes to say something to your long time girlfriend here. So the center stage is yours, go!!!"-Toni. G. "Well, first of all I wanted to say Thank you for everything, for being so patient with me and I know things are not easy and I can say that I'm the luckiest man to have someone like you."-Sam. He then reached in his pocket to get something. Devon kinda knew what he was about to do. Sam got down on his knees and said "Devon Mae Seron, I love you with all my heart and I would love for you to be the mother of my kids...Will you marry me?"-Sam. The crowd went wild and fans were all screaming even the ASAP regulars all went to the side stage to watch the two. "YES! YES! YES!!"-Devon. Sam stood up and the two kissed.
After a year of engagement the two then got married. And two years after marriage, they are now expecting their first baby. Devon decided to stay out of showbizness and just let Sam enjoy what he loves to do. The two then lived their happily married life together.
