CHAPTER 7
"Jusko bessie!! Ikaw na!!! Ikaw na ang maganda! Infairness, kinikilig ako sa inyong dalawa. Parang gusto kong ipagsigawan sa buong subdivision na ikaw ang lucky girl ni Samuel!"-Ann. "Sige subukan mo bessie! Ng masaktan kita!Pero bessieeeee, ako din kinikilig!!!Jusmio bessie!! Can I die now?"-Devon. "Wag naman muna bess, pumayag ka muna at sumama sa concert ni Sam"-Ann. "eh kung pinepektusan kaya kita dyan! Talagang ginawa mong literal ang sinabi ko!"-Devon. "Pero bess, seriously ha, what if he ask you again on a dinner or on a date. Would you go again? I mean you know he's famous and all so hindi maiiwasan ang masundan kayo kung saan man ang punta nyo. And I know how much you really hate being around with alot of people. So would you?"-Ann. "Hay naku bessie! hindi ko alam, magsisinungaling naman ako kung sasabihin kong hindi. Like Hello!!! Ang gwapo kaya nya! kung dati dream ko lang na mameet sya eh ngayon naintriga pa kami. Siguro in away dapat ayusin muna nya yung dapat nyang ayusin. And if he ask me again, why not chocnut!!! At least in some fairy tale kind of way eh natupad ang dream ko!"-Devon.
While they were talking, Devon received a text message from Sam.
"Hi Devon! Were you able to watch my interview earlier?"After reading his text message she then decided to just give him a call. "Hello Sam! Uy! I just received your text message. And about dun sa interview, Oo naman napanuod ko."-Devon. "Oh so saw the whole thing?"-Sam. "Oo bakit?"-Devon. "Wala lang, I don't want you to think that it's all for promotions. What I said earlier was the truth ha."-Sam. "Sus! alam ko naman yun! Happy ako at hindi mo dineny ang ngyari."-Devon. They then talked for hours without Devon knowing Ann left because she was talking a long time talking to him on the phone. "Oh sige, baka nakakaistorbo na ako saiyo eh."-Devon. "Ano kaba, hindi ano! But one more thing, tanong ko lang sana kung papayag ka ba dun sa sinabi ko kanina sa interview ko."-Sam. "SInabi mo? Alin dun? Dami mo kayang sinabi."-Devon. But she already knew what he was pertaining to.All she wanted was for him to ask her personally. "Akala ko ba pinanuod mo buong interview. Pero itatanong ko lang sana since I have an upcoming concert, would you be willing to go on the front stage with me. I will be singing a song kasi that really means alot to me and I want you to be their. And meron din kasi akong backstage passes for you. If you want to bring Ann with you. So payag ka ba?"-Sam. "Ah! Yun lang ba? Oo naman sure, takpan mo nalang face ko para di nila ako makilala! hahahaha joke lang! Sige na, Bye na at late na din kasi."-Devon.
THE NEXT DAY...
"Hi Ma! Aalis lang po kami ni Ann ngayon.So hindi ko po alam kung anong oras kami uuwi eh, pero don't worry po hindi ako magpapagabi."-Devon. "Ikaw talaga, maglalakwatsa nanaman kayo ni Ann? Baka mamaya dyan eh mamukaan ka sa labasan at dagsain ka!"-Devon's mom. "Ganun?! Artista lang? Hindi yan likod ko lang naman nakita nila eh, hindi mukha ko. Sige po at magaayos na ako baka padating na si Ann."-Devon. After an hour, Ann had finally arrived at Devon's house. "Oh, bessie ready ka na?Sige po Tita, aalis na po kami."-Ann. And Devon's mom just waved at the two ladies.
The two best friends had a long day together of just doing simple things that they both enjoy doing. Since they are both having so much fun and Devon already felt a little tiredness in her, they then decided to go home. Upon getting home, Devon noticed a very familiar car parked outside their house. "Bessie, oh my! That car looks so familiar! Don't tell me Sam is here."-Devon. "Sam? Alam mo bang pupunta sya dito ngayon?"-Ann. "Hindi! Hindi din naman kasi tumawag si mama sa akin eh, and wala naman sya sinabi sa akin na dadalaw sya. Teka sige bessie, mauna kana tatawagan nalang kita later ok."-Devon. Ann then left and Devon went inside their house.
"Sam! Nandito ka pala? Ba't hindi mo naman sinabi agad para nakauwi ako ng maaga. Di mo kasi sa akin sinabi na pupunta ka eh."-Devon. "Naku anak! kanina ko pa nga sinasabi sa kanya na tatawagan nalang kita kaso sabi naman nya 'wag na daw at baka you're having fun pa with your friends.Oh sya sige since nandito ka naman na aakyat na ako sa itaas at ikaw na bahala sa bisita mo."-Devon's mom. "Sige po ma! Goodnight po. And dito lang po kami sa likod bahay."-Devon. She then turned her attention to Sam. "Ikaw talaga, kanina ka pa ba naghihintay?Tara dun tayo sa backyard namin magusap."-Devon. "Hindi naman! medyo kakadating ko lang din, maaga kasi natapos rehearsal namin for ASAP eh so since its on the way naman, I decided to come visit you."-Sam. They then both went to the backyard to have a talk. "Ang ganda naman dito, it seems so peaceful."-Sam. While Devon looking up on the moon merzmerized by the beauty of the night. "Oo tahimik talaga dito. Dito ako lagi pumupunta paggusto kong mapagisa at magisip--isip. Dito kasi parang walang manggugulo eh. It's like you're on your own little world!"-Devon. Without her knowing, Sam has been staring at her giving her a sweet smile. Then when she noticed.... "Uy! ano ka ba? Ba't naman ganyan ka makatitig?Baka mamaya dyan matunaw ako nyan."-Devon. "Nothing, I just noticed that you're even prettier up close."-Sam. Devon was too shy to react on what he said. Sam noticed that she was getting a little bit cold so he decided to give his jacket to her. "Giniginaw ka na yata eh, eto oh! Suotin mo muna yan, malinis yan ha, mabango ako."-Sam. "Salamat! You didn't have to, pwede naman akong kumuha sandali sa loob eh."-Devon. "No, it's ok.Let's just stay here, I really like it back here."-Sam. Devon couldn't help it, all she wanted to do is to clear things up with him. "I want to ask you something, I hope you don't take this the wrong way."-Devon. "Try me! It's ok just ask."-Sam. "What are we? I mean, You come visit me unannounced. Nagtatawagan tayo, it seems like dumadalas ang pagpunta mo dito. I just want to know kung ano tayo. I know were friends, but..."-Devon. Then before she even try to continue Sam gave her a sweet and soft kiss on the lips.
